Oriental Restoration

A leading sneaker manufacturer approached us with a piece in disrepair. It was based on their logo at their orient headquarters. We carefully refit the broken pieces and also glued in new blocks of wood where nothing was found. We carved the repair area and also carved the whole thing anew again, cleaning up the lines etc. I then approached the client and suggested a finish on the carving and also a hardwood backing in mahogany so that the piece would stand out with contrast and strength. They liked the idea immediately so what started out as a logo turned out in the finished product to be a work of art at their US headquarters. I have done other reliefs using contrast and I feel it shows off the carving and design well.
